This policy explains what personal information On Radar collects, why we collect it, how we look after it and the choices you have. We've written it in plain English. If anything isn't clear, email hello@getonradar.com.
Who we are
On Radar is run by Susan Furniss Radley, trading as On Radar, based in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland. For the purposes of data protection law (the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Acts), we are the "controller" of the personal information described here.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@getonradar.com.
What we collect
When you order
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your business name and website address
- Your order details: what you bought, when, and the price paid
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe shares limited information with us, such as the card type, the last four digits and the country, so we can match payments to orders.
When you email us
Your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us in your message.
About your business
To carry out your AI Radar Scan™, we look at information that's already public: your website, your listings on Google and other sites, reviews, directories and what AI platforms say about you. Most of this is information about your business rather than about you personally. It can include names that appear publicly, such as the owners named on your website or in reviews. We use it only to prepare your report.
If you choose Flight Check
If you give us editor access to your website or Google listings so we can make changes for you, we use that access only for the agreed work. You can remove our access as soon as we're finished.
When you visit our website
Our website doesn't use cookies, and we don't use advertising pixels or track you across other websites. To understand how many people visit and which pages are useful, we use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service. Umami doesn't use cookies, doesn't collect personal information and doesn't identify individual visitors. It only counts things like page views, the type of device, the country you're visiting from and the website that referred you.
Our fonts are hosted on our own website, so visiting us doesn't send your information to font or advertising companies. Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps basic technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the website running.
Why we use your information, and our legal basis
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Take your order, carry out your scan, send your report and provide any follow-up service | To perform our contract with you |
| Keep invoices and accounting records | To meet our legal obligations under Irish tax law |
| Answer your questions and emails | Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us |
| Keep records in case of a question or dispute about an order | Our legitimate interest in protecting our business |
| Send you news or offers | Only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We don't currently send marketing emails. |
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it with the trusted services we need to run On Radar:
- Stripe, which processes payments, sends receipts and invoices, and helps prevent fraud
- Google Workspace, which provides our email and stores our documents
- Netlify, which hosts our website and your private report
- Umami, which gives us anonymous visitor statistics for our website
- AI platforms, such as ChatGPT (OpenAI), Google Gemini, Claude (Anthropic) and Perplexity, which we use to carry out and prepare your AI Radar Scan™. We give them your business name, location, website and the kind of questions your customers ask. We don't give them your personal contact details.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountant, where needed
- Authorities, such as Revenue, where the law requires it
Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where your information leaves the European Economic Area, it's protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which our providers use.
How long we keep it
- Orders, invoices and payment records: 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as Irish tax law requires
- Your report and scan notes: up to 3 years, so we can compare results if you order a repeat scan. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Emails that don't lead to an order: up to 12 months
Keeping it safe
We use reputable providers with strong security, keep our accounts protected with two-step sign-in, and only access your information when we need to. Your report is published at a private link that's hidden from search engines, and we only share that link with you.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
To use any of these rights, email hello@getonradar.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
